Field Trips

Enrolled students take FIELD TRIPS to

  • Statue of Liberty
  • Ellis Island
  • Calvin Coolidge Homestead
  • Pearl Buck Homes
  • Washington D.C.
  • Concerts
  • Local Merchants

Through our trips we open our student's horizons and get them interested and involved with the adult world. We introduce socialization skills among their peers and with the adult world.

Learning is also facilitated through these trips: history, social studies, English, art, music and much more.

The field trip we take with KMRIA students to the Pearl Buck Homestead is an inspiration. She is the first American woman to win both the Pulitzer & Nobel Prizes for literature with her book "The Good Earth". Her tireless efforts to help the "forgotten children" of the worldthose who are mentally or emotionally delayed or a product of Eurasian birth.
